If we met in a coffee shop, I wouldn’t introduce myself as a “guru” or a doctor. I’d introduce myself as the woman who used to be tired all the time.
I built this space because I know what it feels like to be betrayed by your own body. I know the frustration of following all the “rules”—eating the salads, skipping the dessert—and still seeing the scale go up and my energy crash by 3 PM.

Why I Research: My Body Was the Laboratory
I refused to accept that my life would be a series of pills and deprivation. So, I turned my kitchen into a research lab. Here is the reality behind every recipe on this site:

I vividly remember the “brain fog” and the shaky hands before lunch. That was my blood sugar roller-coaster. I learned to flatten that curve using Low-Carb principles—not by starving, but by pairing proteins and fats intelligently. Now, I create diabetic-friendly meals that keep me sharp all day, no shakes included.

For years, I looked six months pregnant after eating a simple sandwich. It was painful and embarrassing. Through trial and error, I identified inflammatory triggers. The Gut-Friendly recipes here are the ones that finally allowed me to zip up my jeans comfortably after dinner.

Life Outside the Kitchen
When I’m not testing low-carb brownie recipes, you’ll find me embracing the simple, slow moments.
- 🌲 The Great Outdoors: I live for weekend hikes. Being in nature grounds me and reminds me why mobility matters.
- 🐕 My Assistant, Barnaby: He’s my Golden Retriever and my constant walking companion. He’s also very good at cleaning up dropped vegetables!
- ☕ Morning Rituals: I believe in slow mornings. A hot cup of black coffee on the porch and 10 minutes of stretching set the tone for my entire day.
